Ernst Molden & Thomas Pronai - Jetzt Wo Ich Da Bin (Rotifer cover)

from Ebbsfleet International by Various Artists

/

about

This is where Gare du Nord gets properly transcontinental with our first non-English release, Ernst Molden's translation of Robert Rotifer's old song "Now That I'm Here" (from the 2006 album "Before the Water Wars) called "Jetzt wo ich da bin". Thomas Pronai from Bo Candy and his Broken Hearts (with whom Rotifer teamed up to cover Ernst Molden's "Die Möwen" as "The Seagulls") played the organ in the background. Ernst Molden is a highly regarded Viennese songwriter, dramatist, novelist, poet and weekly columnist who has done much to rehabilitate songwriting in Viennese dialect in recent years. Robert and Ernst have been close friends for years, often appearing together when Robert is in Vienna. "Jetzt wo ich da bin" marks the first time this creative partnership has crossed the Channel in the other direction.
